Cleveland Library - Computer Lab
|
Come and use the first free public access computer lab in Cleveland Township. We run our computers on AT&T ADSL 6.0 wired with CAT 5. You may plug in or use your computer's wireless connection. We offer AT&T Wi-Fi. Read our user policies before using the computers. Help your neighbors, who want to learn how to use a computer. We have folks already using it to find jobs, set interviews, and complet on-line job applications. Others seek college opportunities, grants, and complete college applications. We help our local students and adults, who attend local schools and colleges, but without a computer or Internet access at home. Here you will find local self training, practice time on computers, and Internet access that can increase job skills and lower the failure and drop out rates. GCF (Goodwill Community Foundation) provides free computer software training to only 86 Johnston County residents after they found a computer and Internet access. Do you know someone who can't get to a GCF public access computer? We have 6 public access computers available, so send your neighbors in to learn with GCF and other software opportunities. After successfully completing a class, they can earn a certificate of completion and IACET accredited, Continuing Education Units. Public computers do not have protect users with Safe Eyes filtering software. Materials change regularly and GCF is already teaching Office 2007 classes. Go to its site and explore.
