Basic Needs Ministry - Serving Fire Victims Whether the fire has completely destroyed a mobile home, an apartment complex, or a single family unit, many people lose all their possessions, if not their lives. Basic Needs provides a quick local response. A simple $100 gift certificate may provide clothing, microwave, dishes, sheets, and other household goods worth up to $1,000 at the mall. Our communities have experienced several apartment fires in recent years. Basic Needs has provided the main fire stations with free gift certificates to provide for anyone who has suffered fire or other substantial loss in its service area. A fire certificate showing proof of fire is required to use these gift certificates, which may be used for anything in the warehouse. This is in addition to any fire assistance provided by the Red Cross, Salvation Army, or other United Way programs. |
